This project required the installation of a new wind- turbine generator including adaption to, and installation of, new site infrastructure to facilitate power generation and its export to the grid.
We were responsible for obtaining planning permission and also negotiated the Traffic Management Plan and Construction Method Statements with the local authority in close liaison with EWT (the manufacturer).
This project is at the UK end of the North Sea Link (NSL), the 1,400 MW interconnector links the power grids of the UK and Norway and increases energy security and the adoption of renewable energy in the UK.
