Features include Wave-making technology, a 100m pier, a 1000m² clubhouse and inclusive social and educational areas and landscaping.
The project required innovative energy solutions and careful analysis to maximise solar orientation, prevailing winds, and topography, to produce a perfect wave which is 100% powered by sustainable energy.
The mission of The Wave is to improve access to surfing, and wellbeing for people of all abilities and backgrounds, whilst raising awareness of environmental issues.
